Board approves one‑year pilot of online learning platform for grades 6–12

Scott (no last name provided), the district presenter on the online learning proposal, asked the board to approve a one‑year pilot of a platform that integrates with Schoology and can be expanded after evaluation. Board members asked about provider selection, how many vendors were reviewed, whether the platform supports video‑based instruction, and whether families would be charged. Scott said the district reviewed several providers, chose a platform that integrates with the district's learning management system, and said there would be no cost to families for the district pilot. He pointed to other districts using the same provider and said the board could reevaluate after the one‑year trial.
