The Bethel Local Board of Education administered the oath of office to incoming members and completed officer elections at its organizational meeting. The oath, read by the chair, required members to "support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Ohio" and to faithfully discharge the duties of the office; at least one new member responded, "I do."
