The Sheridan SD 48J board voted to adopt the district Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan with a name correction to the document.
Board member Ruby moved to accept the plan "with the correction, the name correction," and Samantha seconded, after trustees identified a section naming the wrong coordinator. The Chair called the roll and the board announced the motion passed.
The correction replaces a listed coordinator name in section 4 to identify Sean Goodman as the district IPM plan coordinator. Board members said the rest of the 29-page plan appeared acceptable to trustees who had reviewed the packet.
The action was framed as an implementation step: adopting the IPM plan clarifies the district's approach to pest management and designates the staff member responsible for coordinating related activities and compliance. The board did not amend substantive pest-management procedures during the vote; the change was limited to the coordinator name.
The board moved into executive session on a separate personnel matter after the vote. The district said the IPM plan will be reflected in posted policy and in operational documents available to staff.
