Board awards roofing contracts for administration building and maintenance garage

The Springfield Local School District board voted Oct. 22 to award roofing contracts to Advanced Industrial Roofing Incorporated for roofing improvements to the administration and preschool center and to the district maintenance garage.
The chair said the contracts and resolutions were provided in agenda exhibits and a board member noted a 2022 diagnostic survey that identified these two buildings as top priorities for work. "These two definitely came out to be the top priorities," the board member said during discussion.
The resolutions were moved, seconded and approved by roll call. The board indicated additional roof projects will be addressed subsequently as priorities and funding allow.
The vote authorizes administration to finalize contracts listed in exhibit materials and proceed with work on the identified buildings.
