They emphasized the action is for information gathering only: it does not obligate the district to accept OFCC funding or select a construction method, and it is not a commitment to build. The district’s existing community facilities committee will continue and the OFCC assessment will be used alongside that committee’s findings.
Administrators said the initial OFCC assessment is hoped to begin within roughly six months and that the expedited planning program gives the district an early start on identifying needs and options for future capital decisions. The motion passed after discussion and a roll‑call vote.
