Perry Local board amends superintendent’s contract to preserve promised pay after state changes

The Perry Local Board of Education on a unanimous roll call moved to amend Superintendent Todd Purcell’s employment contract to take effect Aug. 1, 2025, through July 31, 2028. Board President (chair) formally moved the amendment, stating it responds to recent state legislation that changed administrator compensation pickups and “is just an effort to fulfill our obligation and what we have promised to them,” not an additional expense.
