Brookhaven board member resigns; Rush Lounge denial hearing to be rescheduled

At the Jan. 11 meeting the Brookhaven Alcohol Board was told that member Kaskey has resigned. A board member informed the chair that the mayor will consider a replacement appointment at the Jan. 23 council meeting and asked members to forward any suggestions for candidates.
Board staff also explained that the Rush Lounge denial application cannot be heard as scheduled because of a miscommunication between city staff and the applicant. Staff said there are only two days available that suit all parties and that the board will coordinate calendars and check availability before rescheduling.
The announcements were procedural; no appointment was made at the meeting and no new hearing date was set on the record.
