Superintendent highlights CTE month, SROs and statewide paraprofessional award

"I've been seeing those social media posts...some of our graduates...they got their education from us here at Muscle Shoals, went through a lot of our career tech programs, and now they're working in the, quote, unquote real world and making a difference," Dr. Holden said.
Dr. Holden also noted that each campus now has a school resource officer, thanked principals and staff for supporting SROs, and summarized seasonal extracurricular activity updates: winter sports have concluded and spring sports are beginning. He congratulated the district's Frozen Junior production and described it as a feeder into high school show choir and drama programs.
He announced that paraprofessional Shayla Hill was recently named a statewide paraprofessional of the year for Alabama and said the board may invite her to a future meeting for formal recognition. Dr. Holden also reminded the board of the upcoming Alabama Association of School Boards conference in Auburn next weekend.
