A presenter described the Election Assistance Commission’s field services program as the agency arm that supports state and local election offices after voting systems receive certification. The presenter said the program was authorized by the Help America Vote Act of 2002 and was created "to test and certify voting systems" while also providing ongoing post-certification support nationwide.
