Paris council denies Encore Electric distribution-rate request pending study
Staff recommended, and the council adopted, a resolution to initially deny Encore Electric's distribution cost recovery factor increase and direct staff to study the request before further action.

City staff told the Paris City Council on May 11 that Encore Electric requested an increase in its distribution cost recovery factor in early April. Jean Anderson, speaking for staff, said the city has seen similar requests and recommended the council initially deny the proposed rate increase to allow staff time to study whether the increase is justified.
