Commission approves sheriff's office sponsorship, contract appendix and dispatch interlocal

Chief Deputy Arnold Butcher presented three sheriff's office items that the commission approved on March 3: a sponsorship with Ace Hardware (receivable $2,000) to fund a shelter at Base 7 of the Davis Shooting Range; Appendix A to contract 2023-0656 (county fire warden agreement) payable $55,555 for calendar year 2026; and an interlocal cooperative agreement with Bountiful City to route highway dispatch calls (no financial impact).
Butcher said the sponsorship and county contract will support improvements at the shooting range, which county staff described as increasingly used by clubs and the public. The interlocal agreement for dispatch routing was described as operational and not budgetary.
A motion to approve items 15–17 passed by voice vote.
