The Skagway finance committee voted to recommend Resolution 25-19 to the full assembly, a personnel-policy change that reworks wastewater-operator classifications to tie pay grades to experience and certification. The proposal sets Operator 2 at grade 15 and Operator 1 at grade 17, so new hires can be hired at the lower grade and receive a two-grade bump after becoming certified.
