Summary
The Goshen Planning Board adopted a SEQRA negative declaration and granted conditional site‑plan approval for T‑Mobile Northeast LLC to collocate equipment on an existing tower after clarifying minor edits to the draft documents.
The Goshen Planning Board on a unanimous voice vote adopted a SEQRA negative declaration and granted conditional approval for T‑Mobile Northeast LLC to collocate equipment on an existing telecommunications tower.
Doug Warden, an attorney with the Snyder Snyder firm representing T‑Mobile, told the board the company had responded to prior comments and asked the board to take both actions tonight. "If the board and staff find those responses satisfactory, we respectfully request that the board consider a negative declaration and approval resolution this evening," Warden said.
Board members reviewed a draft negative declaration and a draft conditional approval resolution. Comments were limited to typographical and cross‑reference corrections (dates on the plan set and capitalizations). After a motion to adopt the negative declaration and a second to approve the conditional site plan, the board voted in favor by voice.
The conditional approval requires the applicant to address the standard general conditions included in the board packet and to file corrected plan dates and final technical edits before plans are signed. The board recorded no roll‑call vote tally in the record; the action proceeded by the board's customary voice vote.
The board noted the application is a collocation on an existing structure, which is the code's preferred approach to reduce new tower construction. The matter will move to final plan documentation once the listed corrections are completed.
