LG Township official asks county when Children and Youth Services itemization will be available

Theresa Patch of LG Township joined the Monroe County commissioners' meeting late on March 4 and asked whether the public could access the itemization for agenda item 5, the Children and Youth Services Act 01/2026 report.

"Can you, is there any way that we could see the itemization for agenda item number 5 for children and youth services? Is that out, for the public to see on a website?" Patch asked.

County staff replied that the paperwork for that quarterly report had not yet been signed and therefore was not posted. A county official said, "Once it's signed, we can send it to you if you wanted to," and indicated they expected signatures "by the end of the week." Patch raised the question after the board had authorized the Act 01/2026 report showing total expenditures of $5,134,257.

The exchange clarifies the county's process for public access to detailed itemizations tied to grant and expenditure reports: according to staff, signed documents will be distributed on request rather than posted in advance. Patch asked whether a Right‑to‑Know request would be needed; staff said the paperwork would be provided after it is signed.
