Rice County board adopts Emergency Operations Plan, approves highway payment and routine finance items
Alongside emergency food-shelf funding, the board adopted Resolution 25-039 to accept the county Emergency Operations Plan, approved a final payment to Kielmeier Construction for gravel work, and received quarterly finance and investment reports.

During the Nov. 4 special meeting, the Rice County Board of Commissioners adopted the county Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) as required under Minnesota Homeland Security Emergency Management’s four-year review schedule. A sheriff’s office emergency management official presented the plan and asked for board adoption; the board approved Resolution 25-039 by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
