Buffalo County opens bids for Kilgore Road project, awards bridge-inspection contract

Chairperson Ivan Klein opened submitted bids July 11 for Project No. C10 (Kilgore Road). Bids were received from Van Kirk Sand and Gravel, Inc. (d/b/a Van Kirk Bros Contracting) and Adams Construction Co.; Highway Superintendent John Maul said the highway superintendent and the road committee will review bids and return recommendations at the July 25 meeting.
The Board also accepted a proposal from Oak Creek Engineering for professional services to inspect fracture-critical bridges in 2023 and authorized Chairperson Klein to sign the agreement (motion carried). Highway Superintendent John Maul and Assistant Highway Superintendent Cory Jensen were available to answer questions during the agenda item.
