At its Dec. 7, 2023 meeting the Lunenburg County Planning Commission approved routine business including the minutes of the Nov. 2 meeting, action on a final plat and the 2024 meeting calendar.
Chairman James Tharpe called for action on the minutes; Commissioner Pennington moved to approve the Nov. 2 minutes and Commissioner Thompson seconded. A roll-call vote was recorded as unanimous. On a separate agenda item Surveyor Tim Butler presented a final plat, told the commission there were no covenants or restrictions intended for the property, and Commissioner Thompson moved to approve the final plat; Commissioner Pennington seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Under Old Business the commission voted to skip the July 2024 meeting because of the holiday and approved the remaining scheduled dates (motion by Commissioner Pennington, seconded by Commissioner Thompson, unanimous). The Director of Planning and Economic Development provided a monthly report in the meeting packet; no questions were reported and no members of the public addressed the commission during Citizen Time. The meeting adjourned on a motion by Commissioner Thompson seconded by Chairman Tharpe.
