Grant County commissioners approve routine orders, table Med Ops item pending contract

The Grant County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine financial and administrative actions at a Jan. 26 meeting in Medford while tabling a contract-dependent staffing and payment item until the county can verify a valid agreement.
Steve Stinson, chair, and Keith McClure, vice-chair, voted unanimously to approve the Transfer of Appropriations, Blanket Purchase Orders, and a slate of purchase orders and travel claims that included payments to vendors across departments. Notable entries recorded in the minutes included a Health Department payment to the Oklahoma State Department of Health for $15,760.65 and fuel purchases from Farmers Grain totaling $12,577.47.
Stinson moved and McClure seconded approval of the KellPro Software and Service Agreement for the Grant County Health Department for FY25-26; the motion carried. The commissioners also approved a proposal to input county infrastructure into the INVEX application, with McClure moving and Stinson seconding the motion.
On a separate item, Stinson moved to table Purchase Order #2058 for Med Ops Staffing LLC and an item on payment processing with the City of Medford until after the city's Special Meeting scheduled for Jan. 30, 2026. "On the advice of our legal counsel, once there is a valid contract then we can continue paying purchase orders," Stinson said during the motion. McClure seconded, and the motion passed.
The board also tabled the Grant County jail inspection and rescheduled it for Feb. 9, 2026, approved minutes from the Jan. 20, 2026 meeting, and acknowledged a six-month materials bid from Dolese after correcting vendor contact information in the clerk's office.
Commissioner McClure reported district maintenance work focused on snow and ice cleanup and equipment servicing; Stinson said graders were cleaning gravel roads in District 3. Stinson said he will attend an ACCO legislative committee meeting in Oklahoma City and online continuing-education classes this week.
The meeting opened at 9:00 a.m., the board adjourned at 9:41 a.m., and the minutes show unanimous aye votes by Stinson and McClure on recorded motions unless otherwise noted. Rachelle D. McCaleb, county clerk, certified that the agenda had been posted in compliance with the Oklahoma Open Meeting Act (Title 25, 301-314 O.S.).
The board will revisit the Med Ops Staffing and City payment-processing items after the City of Medford's special meeting; the jail inspection is scheduled for Feb. 9, 2026.
