The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 12 authorized Chairperson Ivan H. Klein to sign resolutions accepting final construction of the Nebraska Department of Transportation LPA federal-aid project described as Poole South (NDOR Project Number BRO-7467(1), Control Number 42844).
Highway Superintendent John Maul presented the project status and the Board moved, seconded and voted to accept the project construction "as constructed according to the plans, specifications and any change order(s)." The resolution instructs the County to accept maintenance of the project and to meet all environmental and other commitments related to the project.
Commissioner Ronald Loeffelholz moved the authorization; Commissioner Daniel Lynch seconded. The motion passed by roll-call vote with all members present voting aye.
The acceptance formalizes the County’s responsibility for permanent signing, traffic control and ongoing maintenance of the project. No additional appropriations or changes to county maintenance schedules were decided at the meeting; implementation will proceed under the Highway Department’s established procedures.
