Gladwin County approves Four Lakes financing resolution

Dave Kepler, president of Four Lakes Tax Financing (FLTF), Kayla Stryker, FLTF treasurer, and attorney Joseph Colaianne of Clark Hill presented the financing proposal to the board. After discussion, Commissioner Tami O'Donnell moved to approve the "Supplemental Resolution Amending 2024 Resolution Approving Plan of Financing Four Lakes Special Assessment District and Pledging Full Faith and Credit of the County of Gladwin Within Constitutional and Statutory Limitations," and Commissioner Mike Visnaw supported the motion. A roll call vote recorded ayes from Visnaw, Donaldson, O'Donnell, Moore and Winarski; there were no nays and the motion passed.
Commissioners noted the motion on the record and the measure will proceed under the terms described in the resolution. Information about the assessment prepayment deadline — July 1 with no interest — and a public webinar scheduled April 23 at 5 p.m. were announced by Chair Karen Moore during board updates.
The presenters identified themselves during the meeting; the resolution is filed as Resolution No. 25-008 in the county record. The board did not record amendments at the meeting.
