Town Manager Brock Hall told the Midway Town Council on Jan. 5 that park restrooms and the park office are using portable heaters while staff await repairs to the heating system. Hall said staff are managing the issue and repairs are pending.
Hall also reported the Town followed an auditor recommendation to increase the Finance Officer’s bond to $1 million; the Local Government Commission accepted the Town’s response. On the Town’s financial position, Hall said at the fiscal‑year midpoint the Town had received about 57% of expected revenue and had spent about 29% of its budgeted expenses. The meeting packet showed December 2025 totals of $1,306,513 in income (56.7% of overall budget) and $679,725 in expenses (29.5% of overall budget), which Hall described as keeping the Town “well in the black.”
Hall also noted that 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Midway’s incorporation and suggested planning a commemorative event; no formal budget or plan was adopted at the meeting.
