Etowah County approves emergency-management MOAs with eight municipalities

The Etowah County Commission approved memorandums of agreement for Emergency Management Services with eight municipalities on Jan. 6, authorizing the county’s Chief Administrative Officer to execute the documents.
By motion of Commissioner Jamie Grant and second from Commissioner Tim Ramsey, the Commission approved MOAs with Altoona, Attalla, Glencoe, Hokes Bluff, Rainbow City, Sardis City, Southside and Walnut Grove (Attachment Book 15, pages 15-123 through 15-130). The minutes record the motion as adopted with all commissioners present voting yes.
The agreements formalize intergovernmental cooperation on emergency management services between Etowah County and the listed municipalities. The minutes do not include the MOAs’ detailed operational terms (response scope, cost-sharing, or execution timelines); the CAO was authorized to sign the documents so departments may proceed with implementation steps recorded in the attachments.
The Commission did not record any amendments or conditions to the approvals during the meeting.
