At its Jan. 6, 2026 regular meeting, the Etowah County Commission heard a status update from Probate Judge Scott Hassell on mental-health and adoption-related caseloads, approved a consent agenda of personnel hires and board appointments, authorized multiple intergovernmental agreements and approved memorandums of agreement for emergency management services with eight municipalities before adjourning.
