The Buffalo County Board of Commissioners on June 11 approved an administrative subdivision to be called the "D Trampe Administrative Subdivision." The board voted unanimously to adopt Resolution 2024-25, finding the plat meets the county's subdivision resolution and agricultural zoning requirements.
Licensed land surveyor Mitchell Humphrey presented the application on behalf of Marilyn Trampe (who holds a life estate) and other listed owners, and answered board questions during a public hearing. Chairperson Ivan H. Klein opened and closed the hearing after no members of the public addressed the board.
The resolution describes the property location in parts of Sections 22 and 23, Township 11 North, Range 17 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Buffalo County and notes that the remnant property not subdivided and owned by the Trampe family amounts to roughly 477 acres. The board determined Sartoria Road abutting the subdivision is a county-maintained road that meets minimum width standards and that title-search paperwork provided to the County Attorney cleared title as concerns county interests.
The motion to approve the subdivision was made by Ronald Loeffelholz and seconded by Daniel Lynch; the motion carried with Higgins, Loeffelholz, Kouba, Lynch, Maendele, Morrow and Klein voting "Aye." Resolution 2024-25 authorizes the plat to be filed in the Office of the Register of Deeds, Buffalo County.
