Murray County OKs bids for Cattleman Association building, pledges $110,000 conditional contribution

On a motion by Commissioner Roger Zins, seconded by Commissioner Mark Carlson, the board authorized bids with a bid opening scheduled for Feb. 4, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
The board’s action documents stated the Cattleman Association has worked with county staff and the EDA over several years on the project. No construction contract was awarded at the meeting; the board’s vote authorized solicitation of competitive bids and formal review of proposals at a later date.
Next steps: the county will accept bids on Feb. 4 and return to the board for award or further direction.
