The Murray County Board adopted Resolution No. 2025-04-15-01 to participate in the 2025 Performance Measures Program, making the county eligible for $0.14 per capita local performance aid and certain levy-limit exemptions and adopting ten performance benchmarks to be published by Dec. 31, 2025.
The Murray County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously April 15 to adopt Resolution No. 2025-04-15-01 to participate in the 2025 Performance Measures Program established by the Minnesota Council on Local Results and Innovation.
Commissioner Mark Carlson presented the resolution, which makes the county eligible for $0.14 per capita in local performance aid (up to $2,500) and exempts the county from levy limits under Minnesota Statutes sections 275.70–275.74 where those limits apply. The board adopted a set of ten standard benchmarks covering public safety, probation/corrections, public works, public health, social services, taxation, elections, veterans’ services, parks and libraries. County materials state the results will be published on the Murray County website by Dec. 31, 2025.
The resolution passed on a unanimous voice vote; Commissioner Roger Zins seconded the motion to adopt after Carlson moved for adoption. The benchmarks named in the resolution include crime rates, deputy response time, pavement condition, life expectancy metrics, recidivism measures, assessment ratios, post-election audit accuracy, veterans’ services survey responses, parks ratings and library visits per 1,000 residents.
