Commission staff reported the Board set an April 10 public hearing on the comprehensive plan, revised the incorporated‑solar policy and reduced a proposed cap to 4% of land area; staff also updated the commission on recent local solar approvals and on state bills HB636 and SB697.

At its Feb. 15 meeting, the Charlotte County Planning Commission received a staff update that the Board of Supervisors had scheduled a public hearing for April 10 on the county’s comprehensive plan and had edited the plan’s language to make the incorporated‑solar policy more general and to reduce a cap to 4% of total land area.
