County sets hiring timeline for highway commissioner; interviews scheduled for March 10

Jennifer Lueneburg presented the committee with a tentative recruitment schedule for the highway commissioner position, which was posted Feb. 13. She said the application deadline is March 2 and interviews are scheduled for March 10; the committee will be given flexibility to participate in interviews. Lueneburg said rather than rush an appointment to the March County Board meeting, staff will complete reference checks and bring a resolution approving the appointment to this committee on March 19 or April 2 for placement on the April 21 County Board agenda.
