Commissioners ratify BFJRA charter changes and appoint one member

Representatives from the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority (BFJRA) met with the Fulton County commissioners on Dec. 30 and asked the county to adopt two amendments to the Authority's articles of incorporation.
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve Resolution 9 of 2025, an amendment to increase the number of members on the BFJRA board, and Resolution 10 of 2025, an amendment authorizing the Authority to appoint police officers who would have the same rights as other Commonwealth police officers with respect to Authority property. Both resolutions were approved with all in favor.
Commissioner Wible also moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027; that appointment was approved by the commissioners.
