County officials hear Census outreach plan from Complete Count Committee

Representatives from the U.S. Census Bureau met with the Fleming County Fiscal Court on Aug. 13 to outline local outreach plans for the 2020 decennial census.
Partnership Specialists Karen Coburn and Sheila Bonan described the role of the Fleming County Complete Count Committee in coordinating outreach. Clay Skaggs, chair of the local Complete Count Committee, and other local committee members plan to hold multiple community outreach events aimed at increasing response rates ahead of the 2020 Census. County Clerk Jarrod Fritz noted that reapportionment proceedings will follow completion of the 2020 Census.
