The Sevier County Board of Commissioners Water Committee voted April 8 to accept staff recommendations awarding engineering and administrative service procurements and approved a resolution updating the county’s water fee schedule.
Director Brent Shults recommended awarding the March 22, 2024 RFQ for engineering services to Robert G. Campbell & Associates and the RFP for administrative services to Community Development Partners, LLC. Commissioner Ronnie Whaley moved to accept the recommendation; Commissioner Todd Humble seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Later in the meeting, Director Shults presented Resolution 2024-04-XX, described as an update to the Department of Water Services fee schedule. Commissioner Todd Humble moved to approve the resolution and to recommend it to the Sevier County Board of Commissioners; Commissioner Scott Catlett seconded. That motion also passed unanimously.
The committee’s actions advance procurement and fee schedule changes toward implementation: the contract awards position staff to proceed with engineering and administrative planning tied to water projects, and the resolution will be forwarded to the full board for final consideration. The committee adjourned at 3:37 PM after Commissioner Warren Hurst moved to adjourn and Commissioner Ronnie Whaley seconded.
