The Delaware County Board of Commissioners opened sealed bids Nov. 4 for highway salt materials (County Re-Bid #25-26/07) and accepted two offers.
Commissioner David Poindexter said two bids were received: Oakley Fertilizer of Arkansas, which noted materials can be picked up at the port, and Williams Diversified Materials of Kansas. The board voted to accept both bids (motion by Commissioner Poindexter; seconded by Commissioner David Beck). The motion carried with Commissioners Poindexter and Beck voting yes and Commissioner Jake Callihan absent.
The public minutes do not include bid prices or delivery terms; the record notes the bidders and the board’s acceptance but does not attach the full bid documents to the minutes. County staff will maintain the bid files and handle procurement details per county purchasing rules.
