The Garfield County Board of County Commissioners opened sealed bids on Nov. 10, 2025, for two District 3 bridge projects and voted to accept the bids and hold them for review.
The first solicitation, Bid #26-2, covered materials for two bridges in District 3. Bids read by the county clerk listed Railroad Yard of Stillwater at $146,207.04 and Sunbelt Equipment & Supply of Meeker at $147,000.00. Commissioner Reese Wedel moved to open and accept all bids and hold them for review; the motion passed unanimously (Aye: Clarence Maly, Reese Wedel and Joe Kegin Jr.).
The second solicitation, Bid #26-3, covered construction for two bridges over an unnamed creek in District 3. The bids read were: Dietz Welding, Ringwood — $177,950.00; Railroad Yard, Stillwater — $188,800.00; and High Point Partners, Newkirk — $211,104.68. Commissioner Joe Kegin Jr. moved to open and accept all bids and hold them for review; that motion also passed unanimously.
Neither solicitation was awarded at the Nov. 10 meeting; commissioners directed staff to review the submissions and return with recommendations. The bids and amounts were entered into the public record as part of the meeting minutes.
