Julie Dovey, the county's Executive Development Director for Human Services, briefed the Board of Commissioners on Nov. 4 about contingency planning for a federal government shutdown that could interrupt SNAP benefits. Dovey said she has been working with the Food Bank and that resources will be made available to county residents if benefits are disrupted.
