During the May 2 workshop, Chairman Tony McBrayer raised the need for a Tift County task force to study and coordinate local responses to homelessness. Commissioners Melissa Hughes and Paul Webb told the board they would be willing to serve; McBrayer said Commissioner Greg Wood had also expressed interest in participating.
