Spencer County releases budgeted support funding to local groups and approves invoices

Spencer County Fiscal Court approved releasing budgeted support funds to several local organizations and approved payment of invoices and transfers at its July 18 meeting.
Magistrates voted to release $5,000 of $10,000 budgeted for the Tourism Commission, $20,000 of a $40,000 allocation for Multi-Purpose Community Action Agency (supporting senior-center services) and $10,000 to the Spencer County–Taylorsville Chamber of Commerce. The motions were made and approved by voice vote.
The court also moved to pay all invoices, bills and transfers presented in the register. The minutes include detailed invoice line items across funds and record a set of interfund transfers, notably a $40,000 transfer from the General Fund to the Jail Fund. The invoices register in the minutes lists vendor detail and an invoice-items total of $92,402.89 (General Fund items listed).
