Mayor Larry Waters presented a request from Judges Dwight Stokes and Keith Cole to create a full‑time magistrate position for General Sessions judges; the judges explained that the position had been advertised previously as part‑time but remained unfilled this fiscal year. Commissioner Warren Hurst asked that a representative from the Mayor’s Office and a Commissioner assist the judges in conducting the search.
