Franklin County commissioners voted to approve a grant pre‑application from the Franklin County Library at the July 16 meeting. The approval (motion by Dave Van Buskirk, second by Iris Rudder) was unanimous.
The county's grant pre-application form attached to the minutes identifies the project as a request for technology funding (CFDA 45.310 through the state), with a 50 percent matching requirement and reimbursed (not advanced) funding. The library said the grant would purchase computers, peripheral devices and networking gear for public use and staff operations. County staff will submit the pre‑application and, if the pre‑application proceeds, manage claims and reporting through the county grants staff.
The commission motion authorized the library to proceed with the pre-application and affirmed the Finance Director as the responsible official for reporting and claim submission should the grant be awarded.
