Tift County authorizes conditional alcohol-license approval for Buffalo Wild Wings pending new license holder screening

Tift County commissioners on Dec. 11 directed staff to handle a new alcohol-license application for Buffalo Wild Wings on a contingent basis after county staff reported the establishment's listed license holder is no longer affiliated with the restaurant.
County Manager Jim Carter told the board that the license holder on record "is no longer with Buffalo Wild Wings," and because that person was the sole name on the license the restaurant currently lacks a valid alcohol permit. The board voted 6-0 to allow the County Manager to approve and the Chairman to sign a license contingent on Buffalo Wild Wings submitting information for a new license holder, that person completing fingerprinting and a sheriff's review.
Commissioners did not set a deadline in the meeting minutes; the county will proceed with fingerprinting and background review as part of its standard licensing process before final issuance of any alcohol permit.
