The Tift County Board of Commissioners authorized the disposal and sale of a 2014 Ford F550 mini pumper (unit 5621) to Cook County for $150,000 during its Dec. 11 meeting.
County Manager Jim Carter noted that the board previously adopted Resolution No. 2023-11 to surplus the vehicle and left the disposal method TBD; Cook County offered $150,000 to purchase the mini pumper. Commissioner Paul Webb moved to authorize the disposal at that price; Commissioner Melissa Hughes seconded the motion, which passed 6-0.
The meeting record does not indicate additional conditions on the sale; county staff will be responsible for completing the transaction.
