Tift County approves consent agenda, including $1.029 million landfill property purchase

The consent package, approved 6-0 on a motion by Commissioner Fred "Buck" Rigdon and seconded by Commissioner Stan Stalnaker, included a contract with Data Cloud Solutions for cloud computing services priced at $24,727.45 to be funded from SPLOST VI; acceptance of a Tift County DUI-Drug Court supplemental grant award of $8,640; and a maintenance agreement with Coopercraft for the county's security system for $49,500.
The consent agenda also authorized the chairman to execute documents to purchase property at a cost of $1,029,000 for cover material for the Tifton-Tift County Landfill, with the purchase funded from the landfill's enterprise fund. Board members carried the consent motion unanimously.
