County recognized for workforce readiness; veterans present 'Purple Heart Community' sign
Charlotte County received a workforce-readiness award from South-Central Workforce Development and veterans from Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 1607 presented the board a 'Purple Heart Community' sign.

On Jan. 9 the board received two community recognitions. Terra Napier, executive director of South-Central Workforce Development, presented an award to County Administrator Daniel Witt, saying Charlotte County is "leading the pack for Workforce Readiness out of the seven localities they serve" and that the county obtained the award for maintaining workforce-readiness status.
