At the Jan. 23 meeting Chief Garrett Durrenberger reported that Burleson County’s jail had 35 people—31 males and 4 females—and that several positions in the Sheriff’s Department are open. The minutes note that Shawn Edwards is returning full time to the Sheriff’s Department.
