Marion County board approves routine administrative resolutions, authorizes bids for Junction 92 Engineer's Office

At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Marion County Board of Supervisors approved several routine administrative actions and set procurement steps for a county building project.
The board approved Resolution 2026-21 to void outstanding auditor warrants issued prior to June 30, 2024 and Resolution 2026-22 to void outstanding treasurer checks issued prior to June 30, 2024; the minutes state these checks had not been redeemed and directed that funds be returned to the respective fund balances under software provider guidelines. The board also received and filed the Treasurer’s semi-annual report covering July 1, 2025–Dec. 31, 2025 and received the Marion County Compensation Board recommendation for FY27.
The board approved use of courthouse basement space for an employee breakroom.
On capital project procurement, the board approved Resolution 2026-25 to authorize bids for the Road Department’s Junction 92 Engineer’s Office, setting the bid letting for March 12, 2026 with bids due by 10:00 a.m. and public bid opening that day; action on bids and a public hearing were scheduled for the board’s March 24, 2026 meeting at 9:00 a.m., with notice to be published under Iowa Code Section 331.305 and IAC 26.12.
Supervisor Steve McCombs moved for each item and Chair Kisha Jahner seconded; motions carried with aye votes from McCombs and Jahner and Mueller absent. The minutes do not list the amounts or specific check IDs for the canceled warrants and checks in the body text; the record notes lists were attached to the resolution.
