Committee approves sheriff's vehicle purchase, meal-contract increase, kitchen repairs and labor MOU
The committee approved a $45,790 bid for a Dodge Durango pursuit SUV, authorized a roughly 4% increase to inmate meal costs under Canteen Services Amendment Two, approved $11,796 for two commercial garbage disposals in the correctional kitchen, and authorized a MOU recognizing POLC as the corrections unit representative through Dec. 31, 2025.

The Finance, Claims and Accounts Committee on July 15 approved several items related to the Sheriff’s Office: purchase of one Dodge Durango Police/Pursuit package SUV, AWD, from O'Connor's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for $45,790; Amendment Two to the Canteen Services, Inc. agreement, reflecting an approximate 4% increase in per-meal costs and authorizing the first allowable one-year renewal; and replacement and installation of two Insinkerator SS-300 commercial garbage disposals in the correctional facility kitchen for $11,796 from Great Lakes Services, Inc.
