Barry County accepts 2025 equalization values totaling $5.19 billion

The Barry County Board of Commissioners voted April 7 to accept the county's 2025 equalization values and to authorize certification of form L-4024.

Commissioner Catherine Getty moved the resolution and Commissioner David Hatfield supported it. The resolution, adopted by unanimous roll call vote, lists total equalized value of $5,194,562,271, with a real-property total of $5,060,000,771 and a personal-property total of $134,561,500. The real-property breakdown in the resolution includes agricultural at $539,671,050; commercial at $206,935,200; industrial at $73,188,700; residential at $4,240,205,821; and timber-cutover and developmental classes listed at $0.

The resolution also authorizes the board chair, the county clerk and the county equalization director to represent Barry County at both preliminary and final State Equalization sessions if necessary. The minutes and the signed resolution record the adoption of Resolution #25-14 on April 7, 2025.
