The Polk County Board of Commissioners approved on Oct. 1 a contract with Paragon RNG LLC concerning a proposed Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project, acting on terms set out in a Sept. 25, 2024 term sheet. Commissioner Ray Carter moved approval and Commissioner Linda Liles seconded; the motion passed 4–1 with Commissioner Jordan Hubbard recorded in opposition. The board’s action makes final contract execution contingent on county legal review and approval of the final contract language.
