Coffee County adopts 2023 Comprehensive Plan update for county and four cities
The Coffee County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted the 2023 Comprehensive Plan update — a regional planning document approved by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs that covers Coffee County and the cities of Ambrose, Broxton, Douglas and Nicholls.

The Coffee County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted a resolution to approve the county’s 2023 Comprehensive Plan update on Oct. 2, 2023. County Attorney Tony Rowell told the board the plan has been approved by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and is now ready for local adoption.
