The Butler County Board of Supervisors on Aug. 6 approved a utility permit for Windstream at 12402 Quail Ave. after a brief presentation by County Engineer Dave Scanlan.
Engineer Scanlan described the permit request to the board and reported that county crews are finishing ongoing projects, hauling rock, and expect to remove the Unverferth detour bridge as water levels decline. The motion to approve the Windstream permit was offered by Supervisor Greg Barnett, seconded by Chairman Wayne Dralle, and carried on unanimous ‘ayes.’
The engineer update provided operational detail about road and bridge work in the county; board members did not expand the discussion beyond acknowledging the permit and the status report. The board took no separate vote on the engineer update beyond accepting the report as presented.
