Spencer County submits CPPP priority list seeking $627,372 for road resurfacing

Spencer County submitted its County Priority Projects Program request for fiscal consideration and prioritized ten road segments for resurfacing and repairs, with a total project request of $627,372.48.
County Administration (Judge Scott Travis signed the cover sheet) listed priority roads and individual cost estimates: Roberts Road (two sections $59,851.44 and $79,966.00), Lakeview Drive ($62,784.16), Miller Road ($51,442.56), Old Ashes Creek Road ($62,242.20), Little Crooked Creek Road ($44,682.48), Harvest Drive ($23,990.04), Stevens Lane ($91,425.96), Settlers Point Road ($67,435.92) and Ochs Lane ($83,551.72). County staff said the request aims to address safety, drainage and surface deterioration and the CPPP application deadline was Oct. 15.
The court confirmed the list and discussed which roads were the worst candidates for work, with members noting prior successes and constraints on county funds versus discretionary or “flex” money.
